Hi everyone! I'm Joy Olabisi, I am the Student Leadership Program Assistant at Inspire Our Nation. My internship last year was a major turning point in my life.

After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan, I took a year off to deepen my relationship with God before medical school. Though interning with Inspire wasn’t part of my plan, it turned out to be one of my best post-graduation experiences. It revealed areas where I needed growth and gave me the space to develop. During the internship, I learned to trust God more deeply, prioritize rest (like observing a Sabbath day), and gained an incredible mentor, Kaitlyn.

I also grew in two key leadership skills: communication—by learning to be more open and vulnerable, and speaking and by serving as emcee at the Christmas program at Ahtahkahkoop Cree Nation.

I also developed better time management skills with practical tools to stay organized. This experience has truly transformed me. If you're looking to grow in faith, leadership, and life while being part of a loving, Christ-centered community, I highly recommend this internship. It changed my life, and I believe it can change yours too.
